Cash pay clients: $200 per session is considered ‘full fee’ for individuals while $225 per session is considered ‘full fee’ for couples. That said, I firmly believe that mental health services should be available to every individual, thus this sliding fee scale is available for those who need a lower rate. Please do not hesitate to ask so that we can work out a rate that is comfortable to you. Folks who pay a higher rate help to subsidize clients who use the sliding scale. Sliding fee slots may have a wait list, thus it is best to inquire earlier rather than later about this. See the following chart for more information:
Standard psychotherapy sessions: $200 (50 minutes), $320 (80 minutes), $225 (intake)
Couple’s sessions: $225 (50 minutes), $360 (80 minutes), $250 (intake)

Insurance
I offer electronic out-of-network billing to almost all insurance plans and many plans do offer generous reimbursement via this method. I am not in-network with any insurance providers. This means that I submit, via my secured electronic health record, a claim on your behalf stating that you have paid for services with me. If available your insurance will then issue you a check for full or partial reimbursement of our time together. Please keep in mind that the level of reimbursement varies from plan to plan, and that it is your responsibility to check with your insurance provider what this might look like for you.
Some insurances will authorize payment via what is known as a single-case agreement. If you have insurance that utilizes these agreements we can discuss the billing process.
Insurance rates differ from cash-pay rates (insurance rates are higher as cash-pay rates are offered at a discount). I will generally waive the difference between my cash-pay rate and my insurance rate should your insurance not reimburse more than my cash pay rate allows. You will only be responsible for paying up to my cash pay rate.
Payment
I accept all major credit cards as payment. Credit cards are accepted through my secured electronic health record system. You may contact me to arrange alternate forms of payment. Billing is done at the beginning of each day. Your credit card will be charged the morning of our appointment, before we meet.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 48 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session. I understand that life happens, so it’s important that we communicate about potential cancellations. I usually ask folks to reschedule within the same week when there is a late cancellation that is unavoidable.
